A 1962 modernist villa, stripped to its concrete frame and re-finished by Aires Mateus collaborators in 2022.
Set on a quiet, tree-lined street between Foz Velha and the river, Villa Quartzo retains the original concrete frame and the three signature picture windows. The intervention preserves the layout while inserting a new envelope of micro-cement, oak and Estremoz marble.
The principal floor opens to a south-facing garden and a sunken terrace; the lower level houses a cinema room, gym and wine cellar. Five bedrooms occupy the upper floor, with the principal suite spanning the river-facing side.
